Fight the Sweat Shop

Moto Sweatshirt

Raglan sleeve sweatshirt, contrasting rib knit, hand-stenciled print

Been modifying the pattern to be more fitted and "boxy". Currently the body's good, but the neck opening is too big, and overall it's a little too short. Hopefully fix those things next go around. Maybe increase waist band width...

Hats/Caps

Here's some caps that I've made recently. Still having a little trouble trying to tweak my patterns to get 'em just right.

Wool casquette/newsboy cap. Crown and bill fabric from a thrift store blazer, vintage black cotton sateen lining

A co-project between k-bot and me. Black linen crown, vintage black cotton sateen band and lining, black enameled vintage metal button

Black denim shop cap/engineer hat

Outdoor Vest

Vest: vintage narrow loom denim, canvas lining, hand embroidered label

Shirt: antique narrow loom linen, vintage bone buttons, based on vintage 1940's men's shirt pattern

Tried to make this image look like an old hand-tinted postcard, not quite there yet.

This image of a stylin' fellow riding an Indian Motorcycle came from the Liberty Motor Wear site; hope they don't mind me using it. Go check out their site and buy a sweater or something.

Henry's Coat

Hand-dyed vintage left-hand denim, up-cycled denim patch pockets, sewn from a mid to late 1930's boys coat pattern. This one's going to a special little guy in Gainesville, FLA

Re-sole for k-bot

Re-soled a well worn pair of shoes for k-bot a while back. No leather shop here on Maui so had to order all materials from the mainland. Hand-stitched leather sole, heel finished with a cut-down Goodyear sole. Got a little bit of spill-over with the stain. Crude but functional.

Suits and Boots

Then some more shirts

Brown chambray shirt, hand-enameled vintage metal buttons

Wool shirt, based on late 1930's Chief Petty Officer shirt, vintage navy anchor buttons, lined collar band and pocket flaps

close-up of front, should have lined the inside front band

Alright, so here's roughly the beginning...

Heavy-weight denim work-shirt, inspired by 1940's naval/merchant marine shirts, vintage navy anchor buttons; modeled by k-bot
